Old Orchard Mall in Skokie, Illinois is located in the area known as “North Shore”. The mall is at 66 Old Orchard Center, near Highway 90/94. You can access the mall from O’Hare Airport via the I-90 exit. From there get on the south Interstate 294 exit, then exit on Demptster. Go east (a right turn) on Dempster until you get to Waukegan Road, where you’ll turn left. Drive for two blocks and turn right on Golf Road. Old Orchard Mall is on the left just before Skokie Blvd on Lavergne. Old Orchard Mall’s hours are from 10 am to 9 pm Mondays through Saturdays. Sunday hours are from 11am to 6 pm.
Old Orchard Mall offers one hundred and forty-nine stores. This is a typical Chicago area mall catering to a more affluent crowd. Aveda, Bailey Banks and Biddle, and Burberry all convey a trendier feel to Old Orchard Mall, as does the Crate and Barrel store. It’s hard to compare an experience like this to the mid-priced malls in the Chicago metro area such as the Cermak Plaza Mall or Riverside Park Shopping Center, which are comparatively down-market. Old Orchard Mall in Skokie is definitely worth the trip.
