River Oaks Mall is located at 96 River Oaks Center, at the intersection of Torrence Avenue and 159th Street, in Calumet City, Illinois. Shopping hours at River Oaks Mall are Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. River Oaks Mall is approximately 20 miles south of Chicago with easy access from U.S. Highway 6 (Bishop Ford Freeway) at the River Oaks Drive exit.
There are over 150 retailers at River Oaks Mall, including four department stores; Marshall Field’s, JC Penney, Carson Pirie Scott, and Sears, as well as a 10-screen movie theater. Thirty stores sell accessories, such as Claire’s Boutique, Emily’s Novelties, and Dakota Watch Company. River Oaks Mall has 18 jewelers, 14 shops with bath and beauty products, five card and bookstores, 30 stores with accessories and over 40 specialty shops with clothing for the entire family. In addition, there are 19 stores that sell electronics, music, and video. A very popular store at River Oaks Mall is FYE - For Your Entertainment, which has everything from the great movie classics to the latest in music and games.
The food court at River Oaks Mall has nine quick-service cafes and restaurants, including the Great Steak and Potato Company, famous for its freshly made cheese steak sandwiches. If you prefer a full-service meal, you’ll enjoy Marshall Field’s Gourmet Café.
River Oaks Mall is the largest shopping center in Calumet, Illinois and has a great deal more to offer than Wentworth Woods, which is very small in comparison.
